How much sand would I need for a 15ft circle about an inch deep? Depth is for leveling purposes only.? - sanding leveling compound

Slightly more than half a cubic meter.

Sand will be sold by the cubic meter.

Sand: if gently filled into a container, the density is lower, and if the sand is packed in a container, will occupy less volume and thus a higher density. This is because "sand" contains a large amount of air space between the individual grains, so that the density is the packing density, which differs significantly from the density of a single grain of sand.

True 3.14xd ^ 2 / 4 = approximately 14.8 cubic feet
But think, because the airspace we need less than sand. The sand is usually by the pound and Lowe's agreed a £ 50 bag of sand = 0.5 cubic meters sold

So you have 1480 pounds. Sand! This right is not very good.

I would buy half of that amount, spread, and again for more if you need it.

Area of a circle is pi R squared.
Thus 3.14 (7.5) ^ 2 for 177 sqm
Multiplied by 1 / 12 inch deep for the volume.
That is about 15 cubic meters
